After nearly three years of planning and politics Dirt Art is pleased to announce that the Clarence Mountain Bike Park is set to begin construction on the first of December. The park is situated on Hobart's Eastern Shore and is set to be Tasmanian's largest mountain bike facility to date. The park concept plan includes the following trails:
- Downhill
- Cross-country
- Mountain cross
- Dual slalom
- Skills development centre
- Dirt jump park
- Pump track
While the park design and construction will be managed by Dirt Art, the success of this project will rely on on a significant amount of volunteer labour. So if you want to help contribute and learn some valuable trail building skills at the same time, email simon@dirtart.com.au to be added to the volunteer list. More information about the first volunteer day will be released soon.
